Harvest Service - Gifts & Donations Needed

In Touch serves a hot meal to approximately 70 guests every Tuesday and Friday lunchtime. In recent months, it has been great to welcome others on to the team who are willing to step in once a month or so, when we are short of help. We are still needing those who can commit regularly to this ministry though, so if you feel this may be an area of service you could help with, we would be glad to talk with you.

Our guests hear a gospel message every time they come, and it has been such an encouragement to see how well they listen. Some have attended the services on a Sunday. We pray that seeds sown will lead them on to a faith in Christ.

Practically, we are very short of men’s clothes in the smaller sizes, as well as shoes (trainers ideally), towels, toiletries such as shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrushes, roll on deodorant, toilet rolls, wet wipes, new underwear (men’s and women’s), sanitary products, and backpacks. Many already give financially to this ministry, but funds are getting low as we are receiving less and less donated food supplies and so food has to be bought.

This ministry continues to show God’s love to those who are sleeping rough or in supported housing. We are grateful to be able to work alongside other agencies such as St Mungo’s, Teen Challenge and Faithworks, so that people can be signposted to those who can help with their individual differing needs. We are grateful for the ongoing prayers and support from the Lansdowne family.
