We are looking for a new part-time Head of Communications & Media to lead our creative media production.

Hours:  22.5 hours per week (3-days pw)
Salary:  £26,369 - £29,809 (Full time equivalent*)
Holiday:  25 days + Bank Holidays
Location:  Lansdowne Church, Lansdowne Road, Bournemouth, BH1 1SB 

*Please note this is a part time position (3 days per week) and so the actual salary paid will be in the range £15,821 - £17,885

Job Purpose

The Head of Communications & Media leads the strategic direction, delivery, and quality of all internal and external communications at Lansdowne Church. This role ensures the church communicates clearly, creatively, and consistently across all platforms—helping to share the gospel, support ministry areas, and strengthen engagement with the congregation and wider community.

Main Responsibilities:

• Communications Strategy

  - Develop and implement a unified communications strategy

  - Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity

  - Plan communication for events, campaigns, and ministry initiatives

• Digital Communications

  - Manage website, social media, and online campaigns

  - Grow online engagement

• Media & Production

  - Oversee Sunday service production including livestream, slides, sound, and lighting

  - Lead media team

  - Develop creative media resources

• Team Leadership

  - Recruit, train, and support staff and volunteers

  - Provide coaching and skill development

• Public Relations

  - Manage public image and media enquiries

  - Communicate with cultural and pastoral sensitivity

• Internal Communications

  - Support staff and ministries with effective communication systems

  - Ensure congregation stays informed and engaged

• Brand & Creative Direction

  - Maintain visual identity and branding

  - Guide creation of promotional materials
